Discover the Vibrant Culture of Crop Over Festival

Crop Over Festival is a celebration like no other. Held annually in Barbados, this festival marks the end of the sugar cane harvest. It is a time when locals and visitors come together to enjoy music, dance, and food. The festival has a rich history, dating back to the 18th century. Today, it is one of the most anticipated events in the Caribbean.

Kicking off in August, the Festival is a 3-month-long festival of Barbadian music, arts, food, culture, and so much more. Barbados ends the festivities with a grand carnival parade known as Kadooment Day. Kadooment is known as the biggest and sweetest carnival to end the Caribbean’s carnival season.

This summer, Barbados invites travellers to live like locals and experience the island’s lively Crop Over Festival, celebrating a 200-year-old tradition that honours the end of the sugar cane season. The festival celebrates all that is Bajan with dusk till dawn parties, arts and crafts markets, and culinary-driven street fares. Crop over it, sweet fuh days!
